Might anyone be able to identify this plant, please? It is within James Petiver's Hortus Siccus Americanus, which was probably assembled around 1710. The label is hard to read, but includes the text 'ad: Mary[?] Rickson at ye Coffin in St Albans'

I'm watching this now. I bought the field guide. It looks very good indeed. I like a well thought out key. I've used a lot of keys in my time as a phycologist! Painful at times.
Phycology was daunting but i got pretty good at it, so why are ferns proving so tricky still? 😄 #ferns #pteridophytes
