Gillmeister faced court on Monday and pleaded guilty to all three charges against him from an alleged incident at the Stock Exchange Hotel in Brisbane on November 14. They say the 61-year-old had been evicted after assaulting a staff member. Officers allege a physical struggle followed as they tried to arrest him. Gillmeister said the reason he didn’t get on the ground when the officers asked was because of the injuries suffered throughout his sporting career. He received a three-month good behaviour bond with no conviction recorded.
