Perodua introduces first EV, QV-E with development cost of RM800 million by local experts
KUALA LUMPUR: Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd (Perodua) today introduced its first battery electric vehicle (EV), the QV-E priced at RM80,000 before insurance and excluding battery, marking an important step in the national carmaker’s efforts to develop a sustainable EV ecosystem. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said QV-E, which stands for ‘Quest for Visionary-Electric’, cost RM800 million to develop and involved more than 100 local experts.
