Their genealogy has been done by both amateurs and professionals - #Qalipu have no more Indigenous ancestry than any Canadian who's family were settler-era. Some none at all.

The #Qalipu pretendian nation brought Mi'kma'ki tens of thousands of cousins overnight, none of whom anyone knew as family or friend. Instead, Mi'kmaq were told they were also Mi'kmaq. They had the seal of approval from the feds via status cards and access to our programs, and outnumbered us.

For 1000s of years, #Qalipu provided the #Mi’kmaq in #NovaScotia with food, clothes, shelter and other necessities of life. Qalipu hides and sinew were apart of traditional snowshoe construction.

Caribou belong to the deer family, like: #Moose, #Elf, #WhiteTailDeer, and #MuleDeer. Woodland Caribou with their darker coat and size are the largest subspecies of caribou.

Woodland Caribou (Qalipu) are EXTIRPATED in NS. Native Caribou disappeared from #NovaScotia in the 1920s.
