The Rider and the Procession: A QuietQuest Entry I meditate twice a day. Sometimes more. For quite a while now, my practice has been quiet. Not empty. Not lacking. Just steady. Static, if I need a word. And that is more than enough. Stillness is the point. Visions are not. If you meditate hoping for spectacle, you may be disappointed. Most days, there is nothing but breath and awareness — the slow unwinding of thought, the subtle recalibration of a nervous system learning to regulate itself.

In meditation, I saw her in the mirror.

Helmet on.
Behind me.
Finished.

Not prophecy.
Not drama.
Just integration.

The road was already lit.
