Ms Laura Hamilton Consultant In Trauma & Orthopaedics Royal College Of Surgeons Of England Sexual Misconduct in Surgery: RCSEngland Response 3:15 PM - 3:35 PM Biography Ms Laura Hamilton was educated at Oxford University then St. Georges before becoming an Orthopaedic Registrar on the London Training Rotation. She completed her training with an RCSE Travelling Fellowship to Hong Kong and gained a Masters in Trauma & Orthopaedics. Laura in a Consultant Hand Surgeon at Brighton Major Trauma Centre, where she is the Clinical Lead for Hands. Laura mentors surgeons across the UK, and is a Personal Tutor at Brighton & Sussex Medical School. She has published and presented extensively about improving the culture in surgery, particularly orthopaedics. She is the founder of the Women in Orthopaedics (W.ORTH) group (Facebook, Instagram, BlueSky) and is an active member of multiple panels encouraging diversity in surgery. Laura sits on the T&O Selection Design Group, which runs National recruitment of ST3 Orthopaedic surgeons. Through her work on improving diversity, Laura was elected on to the Council of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. She is Co-Chair of the Future Surgeons forum supporting medical students nationally, and is Deputy Lead for the RCSE Working Party on Sexual Misconduct in Surgery.
