RENNSPORT Update 1.1.7 Targets AI Fixes Ahead of Holiday Break Nacon Racing has released RENNSPORT update 1.1.7 today on PC, PlayStation and Xbox Series X|S, marking the second update this week as the team wraps things up ahead of a holiday break. This patch puts a big focus on improving AI behavior. An issue with the Porsche Mission R has been fixed where AI drivers were not using full throttle on banked sections of the track. The update also addresses rare cases where AI cars listed as DNF or DNS could still record lap times after a session had already ended, along with situations where AI drivers were incorrectly awarded a finishing lap time despite still being mid lap when a stage concluded. Additional tweaks smooth out how AI cars follow the racing line when running on their own and reduce overly aggressive movement toward the line during the opening moments of grid starts. On the replay and spectator side, the free camera tilt option has been restored, a new Live button has been added to jump to the latest moment in a replay and spectator overlay bindings have been fixed. The safety car has also been temporarily disabled in online contests while its behavior continues to be refined. RENNSPORT Update 1.1.6 Improves AI, Rendering, Replays and More Nacon Racing has released its third patch for RENNSPORT, bringing a round of improvements across the board. This update fine-tunes AI driver behavior, sharpens rendering distances, adds polish to both replay and spectator modes and more. AI drivers now benefit from stability control, helping them stay planted through corners and they no longer drift awkwardly to the middle of the track during blue flag situations. They handle climbs at Spa with more throttle, launch a bit quicker off the grid and take a tighter line into the first turn, making those early passes a little tougher. Visual improvements also stand out with updated cull distances across every track to reduce objects popping in late. A fix for cars briefly turning invisible when leaving the pit lane on the Founder’s Track should clean up some odd moments during races. Console users now have more replay storage and the team addressed an issue where players could jump back onto the track from spectator mode after a race. The missing tilt camera button in free-camera replays has also been restored, rounding out a patch aimed at smoothing the experience across multiple areas. Das lässt sich mit wenigen Klicks schnell korrigieren, keine Frage. Aber wer kommt denn auf die absurde Idee, eine Simulation mit E-Sport-Ambitionen wie einen Arcade-Racer zu starten? Als Ursache für einen so seltsamen Fauxpas kann ich nur mangelnde Sorgfalt vermuten. Die lässt nämlich auch sonst fast alle Schrauben und Muttern dieser schwachen Simulation gefährlich klappern.
