The updated Representative Democracy Data Archive ( #REPDEM) Basic dataset expands the data to September 2025, including new government terminations and formations. It adds 2 new variables, cabinet seat share for each party in a cabinet, and the share of ministers for each party in a cabinet.

#Demscore version 5.0 includes 161 datasets with 25,299 unique variables.
Among these are the updated #REPDEM Basic datasets, providing detailed information on #governments and #PoliticalParties in 33 parliamentary democracies from 1945 until December 2024.

The PAGED project concerns key issues of today’s representative democracy namely delegation, accountability, government formation, governance and government dissolution.

The #REPDEM project is hosted by the Political Science Department, Umeå University.

#REPDEM builds on The European Representative Democracy Data Archive ERDDA’s @erdda_ previous international and comparative projects on European parliamentary democracy, but will soon include countries outside of Europe as well.
REPDEM includes the Party Government in Europe Database (PAGED).
