Weird to say we had a “successful” weekend without even turning a lap, but it’s the truth. And Laguna Seca is where the seed of CW Moto was planted, so it’s always a good reminder of how far we’ve come. 💪🏼🧡

Working with a full crew is no *easier* than when we go light and fast just the two of us with borrowed hands from friends of the team… it’s just *different.*

In the background is a wall in a black and white checkerboard pattern, with yellow Chuckwalla logos in each square. In the foreground from left to right: Jayson Uribe is a tan man, smiling. He’s wearing mostly black motorcycle leathers, and a Pirelli hat. To his left is Paul, our crew member, who has a big smile on his face (rocking a serious mustache). To his left is Chris, our crew chief. Chris is a tall ginger with a close/cropped beard and glasses wearing a black hoodie. Then is me — a white woman with wind blown blonde hair and green-framed glasses, and a wide smile. To my left is our staffer and crew person, Miranda. Miranda has straight auburn hair below a grey ball cap. She is wearing sunglasses. She wears a black top and khaki pants. In the foreground, Paul and Chris hold a large “2nd place” check for the Open Shootout class, with a $2k payout. In front, is the front of the CW Moto Yamaha R1. The bike has an orange lower fairing, with white and grey striped panels on the upper fairing containing sponsor logos for Cascade Motorcycle Safety and LawTigers. There is a sun flare across the bike’s front wheel at the bottom of the photo.
We had an ambitious goal for this weekend’s #cvma race round that we fell shy of, but still had a good weekend overall. Our rider, Jayson Uribe, gave it absolutely 100%.
