The text I pasted into my emails to my Elected Representatives (All MAGA Rumpswabs, btw): Dear {Senator, Representative} and Staff, I write to exhort you and your colleagues to Impeach and Remove from Office President Donald Trump in the wake of his recent video posted to his Truth Social account wherein former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama's faces were imposed upon apes. The racial slur is historic, well known, and intentional. It cannot stand. I understand that your caucus endorses the horrors perpetrated by DHS in the name of The American People, or else you would have already taken action. I understand that your caucus has not enforced the Epstein Files release deadlines imposed upon DOJ, despite that pointing to an insincerity baked into the law requiring full release by a deadline long past. These latter points will be addressed at the ballot box this fall. But to stand by and tacitly allow and encourage The Chief Executive to promulgate blatantly racist, backward thinking, and Klannish rhetoric requires Action, not Words.
