Cleaning up after Ratso. Each round of sanitizing seemed helpful, but Romeo kept sniffing the same #Ratso occupation spots.
Cleaned again w/Bleach-same result.
Cleaned again w/Vinegar-same result.
Cleaned w/Nature’s Miracle and No More Sniffing! Yay!!

Martin did not charge me for the inspection or for collecting & disposing of #Ratso. He was very kind in every way. (Romeo wanted his attention SO much!) And the treatment options he gave me were actually attainable, unlike the Nat’l Chain (which rhymes with Berminix.) 5/

Martin also did a thorough inspection, even going under the house to check for signs of rat colonies. None found. It seems #Ratso was a loner, possibly looking for chow or future nesting sites (it was female.) So that’s good news. No serious rat problem. /4

Once #Ratso was in the trash can, we talked about mitigation for future invasions (and the other pests-massive quantities of ants, spiders, and other ickies, and I mean MASSIVE quantities,) he gave me a treatment quote that was less than 1/2 of the Nat’l Chain’s options. /3

Contacted a locally owned pest control company (not a National Chain,) and their tech was here within an hour to help me get Ratso out of the bathroom. (I was too reluctant to open the door fully, lest it escape into the whole-house area.) 1/

If #Ratso doesn’t complete the journey to the other side soon (very soon), I might have to hire someone to get it out of the bathroom. I’m too scared/creeped out to try to wrestle or chase it by myself & there’s no one I can simply ask. Is there a “get this rat out of my house” service nearby? End/

Preface: Do Not Judge Me! The #Ratso Sagas continue. Deployed the electrocution trap. No results yet. It is day 3 of no access to my bathroom. Hotels/campsites are too expensive. Took a shower in my backyard w/hose. It’s a black hose, water was very hot. Feels good to be clean. 1/

Especially infuriating because the Property Mgmt Co deleted all of my service requests to have these areas closed up properly. Or to at least have them closed up in “good enough” fashion to keep out the pests. (Not asking for fine woodwork, just pest-invasion-prevention
