Black and white collage of two photos, both from different angles, of the Great Hall in Kronborg Castle in Helsingør, Denmark. The castle is famous as the setting for William Shakespeare's tragedy, Hamlet.

The top photo in the collage is a front and center view of the Great Hall, showing its left inside wall filled with a tow of paintings and it's external right hand side window array. The Great Hall has 10 or more large, tall and wide window bays, each with 9 window panes.

The bottom photo of the Hall looks at the long hall from a side angle so the hallway seems foreshortened into shadows.

For Shakespeare buffs, the building was originally built in the 1420s as a stronghold, before later being transformed into a magnificent Renaissance castle in the late 16th century. The castle is now designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its outstanding universal value in Northern European history.

"To be or not to be?" echoes throughout Kronborg Castle in Helsingør/Elsinore, Denmark.

Shakespeare used Kronberg as Hamlet's castle & setting. I loved the real thing. #Photography #ClassicMono #Stunday #ECK #ImageAndVerse #SensoryArt #Alone #AlphabetChallenge #WeekMforMovies #BookSky #RealCastles
