His Korean movies are better than his American movies. Could fare better if they figured out how to create the right tone. Too serious to be a parody yet too much of a parody to be taken seriously. Over the top performances, non-sequiturs, and ultimately the movie runs too long.

A perfect blend of rom-com and slasher movie. Funny and bloody. This flick understood the assignment.

Wild. Insane. Unhinged.

These are the words I might use to describe Osgood Perkins. Lots of blood and guts played for laughs (like “Final Destination”, but campier). Pairs well with another James Wan horror/dark comedy - “Dead Silence” .

Horror fans only.

Worth a watch. The family enjoyed it. Allegorical and symbolic, but I didn’t find it distracting from the story surrounding a cat (and it’s friends) on a journey for survival. Only 85 mins which is great for all you people with lives.

Cheaply written 2D characters in a poor & manipulative haunted house story. What’s the gimmick? It’s told entirely from the perspective of the “presence”. Under 90min, but don’t bother. Dull (despite a nice moment between a father and daughter), but then forces a ridiculous ending.

Half John Wick. Half Rumble In The Bronx.

Much worse than either one.

Paper thin plot and the two lead superheroes are not in the least bit charming, funny or tough. This doesn’t work much at all. Bottom end MCU.

I enjoyed the first person view from two different friends just trying to make it through reform school in Jim-Crow era Tallahassee.

However, as expected, it’s a supreme bummer.

The academy does not want you to be happy.

A few great visuals here and there but it should’ve been an hour shorter. Too much middle act padding and the ending was a little abrupt. It also didn’t need an overture, intermission, chapters and epilogue. This was not Lawrence of Arabia. Quit it, you pretentious filmmakers, 😂

There’s not much to learn, and a couple of sappy (“for you consideration”) lines of dialogue in the third act. Also, I can’t explain why, but Chalamet sometimes has a very sinister look in his eyes that almost took me out of the performance. Some great moments tho.

I didn’t know what to expect. I knew absolutely nothing about Robbie Williams, but my goodness, this was dynamite! Robbie’s biopic (Robbie being played by a CGI chimpanzee) was really fun and I wish this got more Oscar nominations. Highly recommended!

“Supa” silly but not funny. Only 89mins but Sophia and I were both yawning throughout. I swear I’m raising a little clone😆
Warning: There’s an extended preview for The Bad Guys 2 before movie starts. We walked out of the theater and went to a later showing before we put it together.

The robot apocalypse meets Superbad if Superbad were super bad.

Ok look, I’m sorry I wrote that.
I really wanted to like this because the lead actors had potential to make it charmingly funny, but the script was missing jokes. The opening with AOL and 90s nostalgia was the best part.

If you’re wondering if there’s anything new here…there isn’t. You’ve seen it all before. Not as scary as I’d hoped, but that Nicholas Hoult had a hell of a 2024 (starred in 4 movies). Rent this one on Halloween if you’re binging vampire movies, and keep your expectations low.

I think it’ll be tough for some to watch a real pain in the ass like Benji(Culkin), without wanting to punch him, but I thought it was a brilliant character study. I def have a couple people like this in my life. Felt like Eisenberg wrote Benji inspired by his 1st movie, Roger Dodger.

Best to go into this one without seeing a trailer. A clever little thriller from A24 studios. Hugh Grant has been taking on some wilder roles since Cloud Atlas.

Makeup and effects are awesome and the message about body image is crucially important.
The rest is just…OK
Not for the weakest of stomachs and I wouldn’t recommend this to my folks.
Also, If you wonder how she can have a job with no soc security, just remember, neither did Superman.😉

A slow build. So slow in fact I didn’t realize that I even cared what happened until the last half hour when it really gets good. Who’s gonna be the next pope?? The result isn’t surprising…but then it is.

It’s no wonder this is at the top of many lists. It’s a spectacle. I did not see the stage version (so I had no expectations), but what an absolute delight. The songs are terrific and it’s enjoyable for all ages.

A mixed bag. The story is pretty interesting, but as a hybrid musical…it didn’t work for me. Two decent songs, but I don’t like that “talk singing” style (I can’t explain). Overall, I just found the musical bit distracting in an otherwise OK movie.
Mileage may vary.

I can’t see why this one is getting so much academy love. It’s not challenging…it’s frustrating. Nothing interesting about these characters at all. Unfunny and repetitive “get the fuck off me”and “go fuck yourself” until it quickly loses all value. Even the ending does nothing for me👎🏼

I read a lot of complaints about all the inaccuracies in this movie, and that there’s no way the actual opening night went this way. Of course it didn’t. SNL has never done an accurate portrayal of real life. It’s parody. I dug it.

A near 7ft. tall Andy Kaufman is still funny to me.

Three Belfast men form a hip-hop group, rapping in their native Irish language in order to regain its popularity among the people. Spastic, fun and crazy peppered with some family drama. I dug this one a lot.

Based on a true story about the takedown of a white supremacy cult committing murders and robberies in the Pacific Northwest in 1983. Strong performances by both leads, Jude Law and Nicholas Hoult. I dug this one.

Imagine 12 Angry Men, but if Henry Fonda had a deadly secret. Very intense. I dug it.
