A veil of water cascades down the Broke Leg Falls in Kentucky. It's early Spring and consistent rains are keeping the waterways flowing. Vertical photo. The water is falling from about twenty meters high, although the cascade is only about two meters wide. Underneath the fall there is a rocky cave-like space which curves around the basin and gorge created by the water erosion. There are many trees and bushes growing on the basin, and a pond of light green water at the bottom. A leafless tall tree on the left, closer to the photographer, receives the warm light of the late-afternoon sun.
