The fall season is quite restrained in this region, if only because our climate is so mild year 'round. Anderson Valley gets interior summer heat, but nights are cool. It's #evergreen land; autumn colors are elusive.

It's that time of year again, on California's North Coast where the benevolent mild climate goes hand-in-glove with the annual show of near-wild Amarylis Belladonna. Not everyone's cuppa tea, but they sure are mine.
