Plus casting a Caucasian to play a Korean character with the aid of make-up would obviously never fly any more. And let's face it, some of the skills of the fictitious Korean martial art (i.e. dodging bullets, running on water) are just laughably ridiculous. #RemoWilliamsTheAdventureBegins 📽️🎞️

And no wonder since #RemoWilliamsTheAdventureBegins is too long, the story isn't really anything to write home about and focuses too much on the comic elements and not enough on the action. Even though there are admittedly couple of pretty decent setpieces. 📽️🎞️

#RemoWilliamsTheAdventureBegins: NYC cop forced by govt to be a kind of super ninja agent.

This was intended to be America's blue collar answer to 007. LOL. It pales in every measurable category: plot, action, humor, lead charm, sexiness, etc.

Statue of Liberty set-piece VG, all else a chore.

Fun Fact: Fred Ward, who played Remo, did most of his own stunts, including hanging from the Wonder Wheel on Coney Island. Ward was multi-skilled having served in the U.S. Air Force, competed as a boxer, and worked as a lumberjack!
