Another Year of Survival for SJ and Her Children
Hi, I’m SJ, a disabled Black mom with two children, needing immediate and regular assistance with monthly rent and expenses. My kids need regular medical care, and I am in the process of renewal for Medicaid. Due to my own disabilities, I am unable to hold a regular job, though I do freelance work online at every opportunity, in addition to running my online business and writing books and journals that I publish through Amazon, and my own website. These financial avenues, unfortunately, are not enough to cover our needs, so I have turned to mutual aid.
I am married to my children’s father, but he left us near the end of 2023, and offers the bare minimum of support, which does not include any financial help. My children and I are alone in a city I do not know well, in a State that is not my own. We have no vehicle, and no local support or family. I hope that someone reading this will be able and willing to lend us regular monthly aid, to help cover the many necessary expenses of our family, while I continue working to earn what I am able.
