Not a million miles away, this clock is maintained by Stokes of Cork. Can you guess where?

All public clocks should look this good.
How about it @Corkcoco and @PortofCork?

Restored buildings are:

Good for the local economy
Good for development
Good for employment
Good for community
Good for residents
Good for visitors
Good for the soul.

New ferry service announced for Cork city and harbour The company is currently in discussions with Cork City Council, Cork County Council and the Port of Cork in developing the zero-emissions initiative.

A New Harbour Hub Terminus for Lynch’s Quay.

If you cover up the cracks and leave the clocks, windows and weather vane untouched, you’re only planning to do half a job.

Do it right or don’t bother at all. Half a restoration is no restoration.

April 11, 1912: 'Titanic' arrives at #Cobh at 11.30 a.m. & drops anchor at the mouth of the harbour. The pilots' roster is decided in Clock Tower & at 1.40 p.m., John Cotter guides the ship out & departs from 'Titanic' at Daunt Rock. #TitanicTimeline #RestoreClockTower #Titanic

Good news for Shandon and the Kinsale Museum. Both have been allocated grants totalling €322,000 from the national Historic Structure Fund to restore their clocks to working order.

A Clock Tower without a working clock makes no sense.

Pictiúr eile de chuid Robert French. Tá an radharc seo pas beag difriúil óna phictiúirí eile den 'Clock Tower'.

Cén fad eile go mbeidh orainn fanacht go mbeidh an Túr Clog chomh snasta seo arís?! Cad deir sibh Cork Co. Co. agus Port of Cork??

“The dock labour is co-operative and efficient and the turn around of ships expeditious and satisfactory.”

Quiet pride on every page from a 1950s handbook. So different from the boorish corporate-speak served up to us today.

Everyone is talking about the exquisite restoration of Notre Dame and everyone is talking about the pitiful deterioration of Clock Tower. #RestoreClockTower. #NotreDamedeParis.

We need @OPW to come in and take over from @Corkcoco & @PortofCork. They are out of their depth.

Dublin Port Conservation Strategy

Dublin Port doesn’t forget its roots. It works with local groups to highlight the port's history, has a full time Heritage Director & has published a comprehensive Conservation Strategy.
@PortofCork doesn't even try.

If it was up to #TidyTowns, Clock Tower would be a building to be proud of. Here they are sprucing up the sign outside.

Instead we’ve had to suffer years of Cork County Council and Port of Cork’s ownership and inaction.

Well done to this year’s @cobhchronicle for an article highlighting the history & neglect of Clock Tower. Time for the owners to #RestoreClockTower

Copies winging their way to Cork County Council and Port of Cork CEOs.
