I used the #retrobright proceeding to remove the "yellow" on my #DeepSpaceNine #CrossroadsOfTime cartridge and polished it a bit. It turned out quite good i think.

So, last night when I brought in my #NGC controller shell, it was nearly perfectly transparent, however, after a drop dry overnight, the plastic became very cloudy, like a semitransparent white, and less so just clear.
Anyone know what I can do to keep the clear plastic?

It's getting difficult to tell if it's getting better, but I think it is. The first picture I took (after 1 day) is a lot more yellowed, I just hope that it only needs another day or two.

I recently got a #supernintendo on ebay but it needed some love.I used the #retrobright proceeding to remove the "yellow" and polished it a bit. It turned out quite good.Just a light color difference between the upper case and lower but that is ok for me.

Step 1 of my #8BitDo #GameCube controller mod complete, although I'm kinda wondering if I should try to #Retrobright the clear rear shell. I've never done it before, but it is quite yellowed. But it's also the back of the controller, so I wouldn't really notice.

#Retrobright without immersion? Yes you can!
Just have a big enough transparent organizer box, about 2 cm of hidrogen peroxide + water on the bottom (about 10/90 proportion), and somehow elevate the subject without touching the liquid. Some days of sunlight, and voilá! #AmigaReposts #CommodoreAmiga

Working on my Hello Kitty #dreamcast, was in the #retrobright vaporbox for 12 hours, but not much effect. Maybe the hydrogen peroxide has expired? Would have had it in there for longer but wanted to test the box with a Gamecube shell. #retrorevival #retrogaming #sega

Put the #pcengine Duo-R controller back into the #retrobright vaporbox for about 20 hours, this time with the UVC led strip on. I did not refresh the hydrogen peroxide. It came out better, but not as good as the other one. The other one was in for 2 days though .

Another #retrobright vaporbox test. I had another discoloured #pcengine Duo-R controller lying around. I put it in the box with heating on, without UV leds on but instead with a piece of potato in the hydrogen peroxide. As you can see, it did not do the job (as well).

#pcengine Duo-R shell, controller and super cdrom2, 2 days in the vacuum bag #retrobright vaporbox. Great job on the controller, worked on the shell (was not very yellow. in photo, the hucard lid was not in the vaporbox). Need natural light to see if it worked on cdrom2, will take a photo tmrw.

Testing #retrobright vaporbox upgrade. Instead of trying to look for the biggest transparent container that fits inside the #ikea box, I got one of those big bags you store clothes in which you can vacuum pump. Removing air so vapors can more easily reach material.
