As a heads-up to my #ReturnToMe readers: I know things have been quiet lately, and I apologize, but the next update is going to be another two-part chapter, and I wanted to have both ready to go before I posted either.
Part 1 of "Adieu" is ready after extensive rewrites, while part 2 is at 60%!
I see this sentiment a lot in Ranma circles, and although I don't begrudge anyone a bit of classic wish fulfillment, one of the main reasons I've written #ReturnToMe is that I have to live in a world where anti-trans prejudice severely limits what I can do, and I need a way to explore that anxiety.
Contemplating making print copies of #ReturnToMe to give to a limited number interested fans once it's finished. (Has to be a gift to avoid copyright flagging, so I'd eat the costs of printing+shipping).
IDK, call it vanity but I like the thought of my work existing on other people's bookshelves.
This literally ruins almost half of the entire premise of #ReturnToMe, and I am utterly devastated by it 😔💀

The thing about Sayuri's radfem agenda in #ReturnToMe is: I kinda sorta secretly agree with it. I just wish that it wasn't also inherently antithetical to the existence of trans people, no matter how many philosophical backflips you try and pull off to square that particular circle.

I hope to have my trans awakening / stranded time travel fic #ReturnToMe finished this year. At roughly 400k words, that will wind up being at least six full-length novels and a hundred times longer than any writing project I've ever undertaken.
