A dragonfly with clear wings, tea-grey-green eyes, and pale green and rusty orange markings on its dark tail, sits perched on a hairy leaf in the sun.

Dragonflies are beautiful and impressive little creatures. This one, possibly Rhionaeschna californica, is one of the ones I saw this summer in the Okanagan.
