#RiRC2025, held again on the shared traditional territory of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and Ta’an Kwäch’än Council, convened a record 375 attendees from nearly every province and territory in the country.
This tells us that the work of remote energy transition is growing.
This March, we hosted #RiRC2025 – our 4th renewables in remote communities conference in 10 years. We are honoured to have been trusted with this responsibility.

For #RiRC2025, we convened over 350 representatives of gov’ts, Indigenous leaders, industry experts, and more. Renewables in remote communities dir. Lynne Couves shares that this collaboration is instrumental in driving the development of renewable energy projects. ☀️💨
And that’s a wrap on #RiRC2025! We’re filled with gratitude for the generative conversations, shared learnings, and calls to action we’ve heard here. We are all headed home feeling motivated and recommitted to our shared mission - knowing that the transition is vast and evolving.
On the second full day of #RiRC2025, we sat in conversation with clean energy experts and passionate energy advocates, highlighting the balance that must be struck to build trust and capacity within communities so that projects can move forward in a way that benefits everyone.

The first day of #RiRC2025 was all about collaboration and knowledge-sharing as we dove into a series of sessions, presentations and regional workshops. From clean energy integration to community-led projects, the passion and expertise on display were nothing short of inspiring.

🗣️ The evening was all about meeting, reconnecting, and reaffirming why we do this work. "Clean energy starts with good energy”, said Raylene Mitchell, SevenGen Indigenous youth council member, and member of the #RiRC2025 Indigenous Advisory Committee.
