My AI detection skills have become fairly honed, but even so I frequently find myself in tears over heart-warming hallucinations.

We were the happy catchers of the #richardbrautigan book tossed into the crowd by #thelovelyeggs at tonight's gig in #birminghamuk.
Photo taken down the road because we were just too squashed in at #thecastle&falcon -
How different from the Cob Dominoes days at the Victoria or the Wagon and Horses!
Photograph of a book lying on a black tabletop. The photo is portrait with the book in it at a slight angle. The top left corner neatly touches the left hand border and the lower right book corner nearly touches the right hand border. The book cover is a black and white photograph of a tall slim man, middle aged dressed in dark shirt and jeans. He has a capstone hat on, his long light coloured hair draped on his shoulders. He has small round glasses and a moustache the comes down at the corners of his mouth. He is standing, but leans slightly on a mailbox, his left arm and elbow resting on it. The grass he is standing in is long, nearly knee high. Behind him we see a road and a verge on the opposite side, disappearing into tall bushes. The man looks at us, calm and relaxed. The photo has the feel of a quiet rural scene and a man, casual and comfortable, yet distinct and enigmatic.
This the the book I read in my early twenties that helped me mature into a literary reader.
Particularly, The Hawkline Monster.
Prior to this I read mainly pulpy horror, and war novels.
What book 📖 let you grow up as a reader?

What a strong first novel
Found a semi good condition 4th edition and now I’m fully back into Rich
Haven’t read him since I was a teen
I’m gonna try and do one new cartoon a week and see what the hell happens. Here’s a new one. Enjoy.

Poem of the Day:
The Pumpkin Tide
- Richard Brautigan
I saw thousands of pumpkins last night
come floating in on the tide,
bumping up against the rocks and
rolling up on the beaches;
it must be Halloween in the sea.
#PoemOfTheDay #RichardBrautigan
I wrote a short poem:
forgot
forgot
my thought
distracted by
fucking shit—that
is our world today
—how's your
ass?

ALL WATCHED OVER BY MACHINES OF LOVING GRACE
By #RichardBrautigan
I like to think (and
the sooner the better!)
of a cybernetic meadow
where mammals and computers
live together in mutually
programming harmony
like pure water
touching clear sky.
Watcha doin? If you're like me, you're doin nothin, but you're doin it so well that everybody thinks you're doin somethin.
