Huge amount of rubbish as ever, part of epidemic of littering & fly-tipping that UK suffers from.

Flooding yet again at Oak Road #Rivenhall
Damage to vehicles, danger to cyclists & pedestrians; & likely more potholes; so #Essex Highways will spend more public £ patching. Long term solution needed to repair underground pipes; hoping we have new county cllr after May elections to get on the case.

When oh when will Essex County Council commit to doing proper job, ending decades of flooding at Oak Road #Rivenhall under railway bridge ?
Cleaning out gulleys & resurfacing road - yet again - will not solve the issue.
Its the underground pipes.
Maybe we need a new county councillor.

But the flooding is back and so are the potholes.
Red Campion in flower here in #Rivenhall on 29th December - not going to last as frosts are forecast - but to date its been a very mild winter.
Working in the garden this afternoon - T shirt weather, mild and sunny.
This month of December so far here in #Rivenhall #Essex we have had just one day below average temperature and 9 days at 10C or above.

Its NOT an "integrated site"; NO #recycling processing in planning consent has been built.
Its NOT "combined heat & power".
Essex CC, which has contract with site, MISLEADS saying their waste has had all recycling taken out.

Litter pick today along my usual stretch of road in #Rivenhall - only about 200 mtrs long - & this was the result.
A pile of the usual garbage thrown from vehicles by selfish, ignorant people whose names are not known but who buy from fast outlets including McJunk, KFC, Wild Bean Cafe.
Some good news about Henry, 300 year-old Oak tree in #Rivenhall
National Grid now agrees Henry will not to be harmed by their pylons plan & they agree it is being recorded in their plans as a veteran tree.

While one part of #Essex County Council awards lucrative contracts to send all Essex black bin waste to the #Rivenhall incinerator, another takes enforcement action as NONE of recycling elements of the "Integrated Facility" have been built & burning starts 4th Aug.

As this pic was being taken, the mallow flowers were full of bees going from flower to flower.
Tonight at #Braintree DC meeting, I&G Group motion calling for opposition to #Rivenhall incinerator voted down 22 votes to 16 by Cons.
Their actions will not be welcomed by communities facing 24/7 burning & constant changes of planning for the site.

Our weather records here in #Rivenhall #Essex for December show 14 days of double figure maximums & only 2 nights of slight air frost (0C) - so another very mild one.
Yesterday out for a walk we saw several species of wildflowers in bloom - incl. red campion & white dead nettle.
