The riverbanks of the River Arno in Florence, Italy. The sky is getting dark, but still blue with a distant red glow. The right of the bank are buildings with lights all the way down in unison. People are walking along in both directions and some are leaning and lingering on the wall that contains the river below. The river is a vivid blue reflecting the sky as well buildings and lights from the other side of its banks. There is a bridge in the near distance, but the star of the photo is the one old fashioned type iron street lamp embedded on the raised wall containing the river and is in the centre of the image. The rays from the lamp extend all around it such as the sun does. There are similar lamps further down the riverbank that disappear into the distance.
