Shaped by geology & human activity this 17mile long river is threatened by #HS2. Tunnelling within 20km of the river could have an acute effect on flows.

Decent scores at both locations and good variety but I could have done without one guest in the tray...

We continue to scrutinise #HS2 to minimise impacts on #ChilternsAONB. Our latest update includes:

A pause to tunnel boring at Chalfont St Peter
Warning of extra sedimentation at #RiverMisbourne
Reducing no. of oak trees removed at Leather Lane

It was really good getting out to #RiverMisbourne today and getting my #ARMI @Riverflies survey done for Oct. Sad to think how this lovely #chalkstream is on a knife's edge.
