Pebble river bed, no water flows at least at the surface. Sheep in the distance.
An algae-filled pond is all that remains of a deep river pool. Dry pebbles, and sheep.
Ancient pebble terraces are exposed in a cliff (usually submerged) under a parched turf riverbank. The river is completely dry here. Algae on pebbles have blanched in the sun.
