John was known for his #photography of the #Tarahumara Indians, the #GreatLakes surfers, #immigrants settling in #Milwaukee, and the #Riverwest neighborhood, where he lived.

#JohnRuebartsch was a talented, empathetic #DocumentaryPhotographer, #FineArtPhotographer, and just a darn nice guy. He passed away this past November, and there was a memoriam for him in January.
It was good to see so many people come out to the #JazzGallery in #Riverwest, to honor his memory.
