Part of the "Rockery" which contains huge boulders that were brought to the area by horse and wagon in order to create the rock gardens. This area used to be a private arboretum, and is now part of the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary in Topsfield, Massachusetts.

Loved my beautiful front garden rockery but it was increasingly difficult to maintain without pulling muscles to reach top of the slope. (Or tipping over by reaching down). So I've had it terraced & original alpine plants & rocks returned. Can't wait for it to fill out. #rockery #garden #redesign
