Asus introduces ROG XG Mobile eGPU with Thunderbolt 5 The Asus ROG XG Mobile is a compact graphics docking solution that debuted in 2021 as a companion for some Asus ROG gaming laptops and tablets. Thanks to a proprietary ROG XG Mobile connector, they were able to deliver 64 Gbps of data throughput for better performance than you'd get from a Thunderbolt 4 or USB4 dock. But that port also meant that the docks could only be used with the small handful of PCs released by Asus that had that port.
