The last 63 hours of #lightning over the Western Pacific. You can clearly see the eyewall lightning (EEL Signature) in Super Typhoon #Goni (#RollyPh) as it approached landfall in the Philippines as a storm with 195mph winds and estimated central pressure of 884mb!

After the eye of #Goni (#RollyPh) contracted, the eyewall #lightning ceased. It has since come back and you can easily track the center of the storm just by following the lightning over the last 24+ hours. This loop only shows the last 24 hours of GLD360 data.
