Printed cardboard rectangle meant to look like front side of the backing of an 1980s Star Wars action figure. The main picture is a sliced log draped in scarves, which is where Timber Joey cuts off log slabs as goal celebrations during Portland Timbers games. In center text, it says “Save the Tauntaun”, in reference to a joke on one of the related scarves, see scarf post alt-text for details. Above, where it would normally say Star Wars, it says “Rose City Rebels”. There is a solid green box where the action figure would normally be placed. The entire thing is framed in think yellow lines. In the upper left corner is the Rose City Rebels” logo, which is a mix of the Star Wars rebels logo, an iconic New Hope poster, and a double sided task (more detailed description in alt-text on scarf post), in the upper right it says “Ages 4 and up”
The backside of the fake Star Wars action figure box. There are two main panels. At the top is “R2TA: Rose City Rebels” and to the right “Collect all 9!” Below is a yellow background panel, it features pictures of all the scarves and patches the group had made, along with numbers that refer to words below with the name of each product, these were actually produced. Below, in a dark green panel, it says “Special Offer: Free* Bonus Scarf” “Exclusive offer only available to purchasers of the R2TA Bundle #2” “*To receive your scarf: 1) Send $14.93 (shipping and handling fee) via PayPal to [email address redacted], will be refunded if step 2 is not completed, 2) Mail in one original R2TA proof of purchase (below), along with your name and mailing address to: R2TA Bonus Scarf, PO BOX [redacted], Mesa, AZ. Payment and proof of purchase make be received by July 17th, 2017 (no exceptions). Allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. Offer valid only in the US”. In the bottom right corner is the proof of purchase with dotted lines indicating where to cut. The proof of purchase is the aforementioned Rose City Rebels logo and written in it is “R2TA Bundle #2 Proof of Purchase”. This was a real offer, thankfully they sent us two cards so we could cut one and keep one intact. I can’t remember or find the scarf I got.
Fun bonus, a fake action figure card that came with the #RoseCityRebels #StarWars scarves. The mail in offer was real and I ordered it with a second copy the provided us, but I don’t remember the scarf I got and it wasn’t with the collection I found today.
