RStudio is a great tool and a big help when programming in R. However, for beginners, it can be a bit overwhelming.

I've started running into difficulties open Word doc outputs from my #RStudio Rmd/Qmd reports.

Everything was working fine until my computer installed a Dell update. Since then the error undernearth is appearing.

The troubleshooting suggestions in the message have not yielded results.

We don’t believe in magic buttons. We believe in code.

Posit AI is embedded in RStudio — it sees your session, shows its work, and produces reproducible code.

When one `apt` upgrade run gets you updated #duckdb (1.5.0), #rstudio (nighly) and #r-stats (4.5.3) binaries ...

One command to rule them all.

(First two packages served via informal PPAs I set up, last one is launchpad.net build of updated and uploaded package.)

Can someone tell me if this is a bad idea 😅 I never really used the packages pane in #RStudio, but I think that's because I was raised #baseR & am a console queen. I assume no one uses update.packages()

Def don't do this if you're in a renv project, though, you'll have regerts. #rstats #baseRgirly

Posit finally adds AI to #RStudio after somehow sleeping through every alarm, and what lured them to the dark side wasn’t cookies. It was a $20/mo rate-limited ‘frontier-grade model’ that’s just Claude in a trench coat you can’t even bring your own key for. #rstats

I have two data frames with the same columns, but different numbers of unique rows, 11715 and 11658, and r insists they overlap completely. I might go insane!
Time to make a ridiculous script and check row by row I guess ...

For those in the #rstats world, have you migrated from #rstudio to #positron? I am finally trying Positron; love the auto dark mode, which I previously had to use a script to do in rstudio. and it seems to be executing code fine using the here() package to point to files in a directory.
