The server asks if there’s a special occasion “Anniversary,” Ruan Baijie lies. Li Dongyuan chokes on his drink. They come out moments later with champagne and dessert, something thick and dark chocolate with raspberry coulis. It is divine. She licks chocolate off of her thumb and his eyes track the movement of her tongue. “You shameless liar!” he marvels, picking up his own spoon She shrugs. “We might be dead in a year.” “Don’t say that!” “I thought it was kinder than saying I might get bored of you sooner than that.” “You’re so mean.” He looks like a kicked dog. She can’t help but laugh “If you want me to stop bullying you, you need to stop making it so fun. I’m not sure I’ve met anyone more fun to bully than you.” He doesn’t reply, but looks at her with such longing that it makes something spark inside her. “I bet you’re pretty when you cry,” she adds. He opens and closes his mouth, helpless.

- BUT when LDY shows a pic of Baijie in the Sister Drum arc, LJS isn't confused or surprised.

Inference:
- He's presumably met femme Baijie before, offscreen.

Conclusion:
- WTF happened w THAT encounter? I NEED! TO KNOW!!
