A very spunky male #RubyCrownedKinglet! How can we tell it is a male? Well one of the photos in this sequence show it mid-shake where its red crown is ever so barely visible. Only males sport this namesake feature, which helps to confirm the M/F split!

A Ruby-Crowned Kingle is perched on a small branch in a tree against an overcast, but bright, sky.
