A yellow Glasdon grit bin, replete with an aging, cautionary 'slow down' sticker sits astride the pavement on Little Ness Road in the north Shropshire village of Ruyton XI Towns. It's mid-March, spring is in the air and a beautiful cherry tree, laden with pink blossom, stands in the wayside verge just beyond the bin. Lovely, innit?
