I've struggled to maintain connections since I stopped regularly using Twitter. I met so many great people through #sachat and I think it was #acadv when I was struggling with unemployment

I’m feeling lazy toward social media. Was all in on that bird until about 2022 (about that time…) and can’t seem to prioritize any platforms at this point. Others in #sachat or other communities I’ve been active in feeling the same?

#sachat was more than a hashtag. Once a week, it felt like the entire #highered community came together for a frank discussion on topics that were on our minds, and our hearts.

At times, I felt like I learned more from those discussions than in my grad school classes.

I know what you mean. A lot of people took stops in Mastodon and Threads but for those connected to #highered #cdnpse they seem to be gravitating to here. I'd say I miss the #sachat folks, but most of them left PSE a while back, though it was great seeing where they all went.

#SAchat If you are offering a space at a conference for an affinity group you should definitely ask that affinity group if they would like allies in their space. Otherwise, you aren't leaving space for THEM, you're probably just trying to look good.

I want high level administrators who talk about how great it is to partner with parents to remember that their entry, and mid level people filter out a lot of nonesense for them. #sachat Don’t get high and mighty when your people are exhausted.
