Went on my first ever Lobby Day trip to Albany, NY, yesterday! The @familiesforsafestreets Coalition did an amazing job organizing the day's events for everyone aboard the full chartered 🚌 🤩 As a survivor of traffic violence, I felt compelled to join in the day of action, tell my story, and urge our elected officials to co-sponsor legislation that would make our streets safer for ALL road users--vehicle drivers, bicyclists, pedestrians, and wheelchair users 🚗🚴♂️🚶🏻♀️👩🏻🦽 We had only 2 scheduled meetings, so almost all of the conversations that we had were because the legislators/their staffers graciously welcomed our drop-in visits.
