this comment opposing Washington State's #ElevatorReform #SB5156, from #IEUC union (?) is striking b/c it appears to oppose #PerformanceCode generally—which seems way out of touch with global trends & expert opinion. Like, who is opposed to basing on actual outcomes, vs rule compliance, & why? 🤔
The state Senate in #waleg has become the first legislative chamber in the country to vote to legalize best-in-class, international-standard residential elevators.
#SB5156 now goes to the state House. It has until late April to take action.
