Madame Grès aka Alix Barton aka Germaine Krebs, one of my favourite designers, was born on this day in 1903. Known for her pleated silk jersey, she also experimented with all sorts of other drape techniques from the thirties to the eighties. Just a few here #SCADFASH #FashionHistory 🗃️🪡
