Investor participation surges to 13.4 crore in 5 years: SEBI Chairman Mumbai, Oct 8 (SocialNews.XYZ) The focus of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on digital transformation, such as e-KYC, simplified onboarding and mobile-first investment platforms, has led to investor participation rising to 134 million over the past five years, SEBI Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey said on Wednesday. Participating in a panel discussion during the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2025 here, Pandey said several technology-led initiatives, such as the Investor Risk Reduction Access Platform and a Unified Investor App, have strengthened investor protection and market efficiency.

भारतीय प्रतिभूति व विनिमय बोर्ड (सेबी) की मौजूदा अध्यक्ष माधबी पुरी बुच का तीन साल का कार्यकाल 28 फरवरी को पूरा हो रहा है। बुच ने दो मार्च 2022 को सेबी का पदभार संभाला था। अब इनकी जगह तुहिन कांत पांडे लेंगे। केंद्र सरकार ने पांडे को अगला सेबी चीफ नियुक्त किया है। केंद्रीय कार्मिक मंत्रालय (DoPT) ने पांडे की नियुक्ति को लेकर अधिसूचना जारी कर दी है।
