Art Gallery We Are Entanglement Fungi are everywhere, in the air, water, and soil, where they support and mediate between living and non-living. We Are Entanglement invites visitors into an immersive, interactive environment in which humans become part of the networks of communication through fungal networks beneath the floor of a forest. The artwork combines procedural modeling, generative Al, and dynamic simulation of vast numbers of living organisms. It is grounded in an imperative of drawing attention to the importance of nonconscious cognition and interspecies communication in biological and machine senses, as a reminder of the essential broader world around us. or not. I’ll leave that up to you.
Here’s an interesting selfie (?) from the #SIGGRAH2025 art gallery. As you move around, or linger, your outline becomes intertwined / entangled with the fungi growing under a tree.
Kind of like being a postdoc.
