SIMBIOTS Project - Hybrid production systems based on HRI - TIAGo
SIMBIOTS is a project, by RIS3CAT, that enables the introduction of robotics in new industrial processes and applications. In this project collaborative robots are being used, meaning robots from different partner organisations are working together. These robotic platforms allow the creation of a workspace where both humans and robots can safely interact without any physical barriers. PAL Robotics has implemented TIAGo robot to adapt to the needs of Industry 4.0. The project objectives include improving workers’ ergonomics and increasing productivity in the industrial sector.
