I have, SO MANY MINI PICTURES TO SHARE TODAY! Cause I finished five miniatures!
First, the #SLDF #Battletech Minis!
I actually tried my best to scale the bases too! And got that pretty close from what I can tell!

So the #SLDF minis are more or less done! Time to finish their bases! And that’s happening TONIGHT!

Photo of a hand painted Battletech Highlander BattleMech with smoke effects holding it up, giving it the appearance of jumping through the air. The photo is taken in a light box with dark sides and LED lights giving it the appearance of being under stadium lights. Photo is taken from the back right direction, below the BattleMech.

An approximately 10" x 12" x 4" black carrying case with black hook and loop material attached. Attached is a custom made embroidered SLDF Gunslinger patch. The case is sitting on a couch, with a binder and some Battletech books underneath.
Open black carrying case with sections removed to make room for 12 custom painted SLDF BattleMech miniatures, and one jump effect for the Highlander. The case is sitting on a couch, with a binder and some Battletech books underneath.
The gang's all here. All painted and clear coated. Actually getting a game in at the LGS today.

4 Battletech miniatures painted up as an SLDF Tenth Corps lance. The mechs are all olive drab green, with black accents, and glowing blue cockpits. The mechs are, from left to right, Crusader, Stalker, Crockett, and Marauder. The miniatures are painted, but the bases are mostly olive drab primer color, with white bands to indicate the front.
Rear view of 4 Battletech miniatures painted up as an SLDF Tenth Corps lance. The mechs are all olive drab green, with black accents, and glowing blue cockpits. All have a 1 and 0 painted in white somewhere visible. The mechs are, from left to right, Crusader, Stalker, Crockett, and Marauder. The miniatures are painted, but the bases are mostly olive drab primer color.
Say hello to part of Tenth Corps, here to train your local militia forces to fend off "pirates". Why do the "pirates" have royal BattleMechs in this case? Because shut up and run, peasant militia. Maybe you'll learn something.

A 3.5 x 2 inch (89x51mm) black rectangular patch with white trim. The patch has a light and dark grey SLDF logo in the upper left corner, a green captains insignia below that, and white text XLVI, 328, and SOUP in three rows on the right side of the patch. The patch has some fraying and loose strings, and the right side satin stitching is inconsistent.
Playing with tearaway backing for the final satin stitch. Love the clean tear. Need to get better at positioning the patch when I switch. Mostly cotton thread, which is cool (just the dark grey and bobbin thread are synthetic). Outdoor lighting because of dog.

Second attempt. Got a bit aggressive on density in spots. Will probably leave this here, and come back later. I need to experiment with simplified representations of the missile launchers, cleanup/replace text, and fix the few overlaps.

A 4 inch (~99mm) round patch with a black satin sitch outer lining, a red band about .25 inches thick with black text that says SLDF on the top and GUNSLINGER on the bottom, and an inner blue section with a gold Marauder silhouette with black accents. The border between the red and blue sections are interstitial sections of golden satin stitching. This version is easier to read, uses a simplified silhouette, and was sewn with a slightly smaller needle.
And here it is, the Mark IV. Really happy with it. It's not perfect, and I have some ideas how I could clean it further, but time for the next patch!

Also, I *do* occasionally get these mechs on the table.

So, since the fourth mech in the second SLDF pack is the prepainted Daishi, I needed to replace it with something. I chose the OG mech - the Mackie. (Featuring the one and only NMM effect I can do.)

2 homemade Battletech patches sitting on a work surface. One is a 4" (~99mm) round patch with a blue inner section, a red outer section (SLDF in black text on top, GUNSLINGER on bottom), a golden Marauder silhouette on the blue section, golden accent strips off and on around the blue/red border, and a black satin stitch outer border. The other patch is a black rectangular 3.5" x 2" name tag, with an SLDF logo in the upper right corner, a green lieutenant rank insignia below that, XLVI (46 in roman numerals) in white in the upper right corner, with 328 below that, and SOUP in white in the bottom right corner. XLVI and 328 are references to the XLVI corps 328 Royal Battlemech Division.
Keeping it thematic.

The Mark II. Text is still a challenge. I want to change the accents a bit to try and better cover the seams, and see if I can clean the legs up. Still, not bad for my setup.
