I tell my US friends about the miracle that is the #SNHS & I'm sure they believe me, but they can't really seem to get their heads around the fact that it is entirely paid for by our taxes. No out of pocket costs! They just can't seem to fathom a govt that would do such a thing for its citizens. 😞

2x at home health visits
1 x dental visit
3 x prescriptions filled
1 x bowel cancer screening
1 x smear test
1 x 24 hr heart monitor scheduled
1 x mammogram (this afternoon)
Cost - ZERO!

Just been for my routine mammogram at a mobile centre parked at the Community Hospital site five minutes from my house. Saved me a 26 mile round trip for a 5 min appointment. Thank you #SNHS

Health Centre at 8am today gave me a docs appointment for 9.45am, picked up my free prescriptions and a follow up nurse appointment in 2 weeks time.

12 months ago i went to see the doc.
6 months ago the surgeon said it would be 6 months until the operation.

So i went to the hospital jan 2025 as my foot is buggered saw consultant who said it would be 6 months to meet the right surgeon. fair enough. in June i met the surgeon who said it would be 6 months until my surgery. i had an offer on nov i could make but im having the op in two weeks. #SNHS
NHS England is seeing Junior Doctor strikes which have been going on now for what seems years. This looks like the WMG trying to undermine the NHS and push for Private Health.
Thank god the SNP has our SNHS’s back.

Unpublished fact some 5% of Englands A&E patients left before being treated. That’s 1.4m in the last year. These folks don’t appear on the A&E waiting time data.
WM governments want to slowly take the NHS to private owned. Not in Scotland where SNHS is thankfully still in SNHS.

Our #SNHS had saved my life twice in the last to years alone 💙💙💙 and continue to provide me with life saving opportunities. I wouldn’t be here today to see my older daughter qualify as a mental health nurse and my son go to college. I receive daily medication to keep me alive and well.

Broke a bone in my hand on last day of holiday in Greece 26/9. Got an appt @ Stobhill Hosp on 28/9 cast applied. Seen by consultant on 29/9 and physio fixed for next week. All over a bank holiday weekend. All staff were superb. #SNHS
