A big thank you to everyone who turned up for my talk at #SPSP2025! I had fun discussing research with so many brilliant minds and it’s time to channel that energy into finishing up this manuscript.

(Look at my advisor @erichehman.bsky.social capturing the start of my first ever conference talk)

Congrats to the MSU graduate students who presented their research at this year’s Society for Personality and Social Psychology conference! With over 3,500 attendees, they gained valuable experience in sharing their work with a broad and diverse population! 💚

Loved @MatthewIasiello's talk at #SPSP2025 on a taxonomy and item banks for positive mental health! As a wellbeing researcher who often feels lost in the sea of measures, their umbrella review is a very welcome guide of this jungle of a field: doi.org/10.5502/ijw....

First @spspnews.bsky.social symposium complete! I presented my work on differing gendered perceptions of East and South Asians. Really excited to continue this line of work as I wrap up my master’s thesis. Thank you to everyone who came to support! #SPSP2025

There were a lot of missing posters at #SPSP2025 this year, and at the LGBTIQ+ Pre-conference, at least two presenters didn’t come bc of the climate.

In addition to fighting these bans, I hope @spspnews.bsky.social considers taking its *international* conference outside the US in the future.

Back from #SPSP2025 and reflecting on what an amazing conference it was. The preconf, the talks, the people, the atmosphere - just so invigorating. I'm excited to follow up on all these ideas and new connections, and already looking forward to Chicago next year. Thank you to all the organisers!

Had so much fun in Denver at #SPSP2025. The air was thin but my heart was full (metaphorically speaking of course). Grateful to be part of such a wonderful research community.

Another #SPSP2025 in the books! It’s always inspiring to learn from incredible professors, reconnect with old friends, and see former students thriving as colleagues. Grateful for this community and the chance to grow together! #Psychhology #SPSP #Denver

#SPSP2025 the real treasure was all the grouchiness around how dry the air is in Denver and everyone not getting proper sleep because of it...friends we made along the way??

Am I doing it right??

How can researchers effectively and ethically use LLM agents in social experiments? I had the pleasure of discussing this topic with some wonderful researchers at my roundtable session at #SPSP2025

So this was #SPSP2025 in Denver @spspnews.bsky.social.

The anxiety and worry about the future of science in the US, and social psychology in particular, was palpable everywhere.

What will the field look like by the time of the 2026 conference #SPSP2026? Curious to hear colleagues' predictions.
