Initial post: Some residents in the South Prairie area have been notified to evacuate their homes because of flooding Thursday. Level 3 “Go Now” evacuation notices have been issued for people who live in homes between state Route 162 and South Prairie Road East, west to Emery Avenue North. The Sheriff’s Office is going door-to-door to notify people in the area, according to the Pierce County Department of Emergency Management.
