At just over 4km up steam, the dead fall and shallows makes the river not very navigable.

The river does not like my 10inch fin... It's getting rocky and shallow.. The lack or rain this summer has certainly had an effect on the water levels.

The creek is rather deep in the lower reaches, at least in the main channel.
It is more wild than most GTA streams, as it meanders freely in the lower reaches on its way to the lake.

Around the lower section of the creek there are several marshes and ponds.. All currently too shallow to paddle... I have a 10inch fin on the board and in most places I basically was stuck in the mud.

The paddle started at the Rotary Park near the mouth of the creek and the goal is to try and make it about 5k up the creek to Bayly Street.

I've gone further in the past. But its much shallower now, with the fin dragging constantly.
