SammyCat is a gray cat with a white muzzle showing her age. She's resting her chin on the edge of a blue cat carrier. Noreen's hand is seen giving her skritches behind the ears.

Brought #SammyCat in for her semi-annual check up (at ~21 years old it's good to get the oil checked a and a tune-up a little more frequently). We wait for bloodwork as we monitor her balky thyroid and her kidneys. But all in, still just going with her own flow.

Here’s what happens. You see this pitiful little kitten face. So adorbs. Pink nose. Tiny meows. No ears. Fuzzy. And just inject it to my veins!! Now he’s a brat who wakes me at 5:45 to remind me his food dish is empty.

Beginning a stage of pet companionship we've (luckily) never had to deal with before: meds.

4 y/o #LemmyCat apparently has asthma and will need a daily inhaler dose.

20 y/o #SammyCat is beginning to have thyroid issues. So daily thyroid meds & potassium supplement.

This is going to be a ride.

In other cat news - today is gotcha day for #SammyCat! January 20, 2006 you came into our life from the Animal Refuge League with your sister #MollyCat (RIP).

I'm reminded this morning that it's OK that the daily sunrise walk isn't a walk at all. It may look like lingering in bed with head scritches and #SammyCat purrs.

Quality time is quality time.
