Yesterday our dearest #LemmyCat left us. The devastation and heartbreak are brutal.

Beginning a stage of pet companionship we've (luckily) never had to deal with before: meds.

4 y/o #LemmyCat apparently has asthma and will need a daily inhaler dose.

20 y/o #SammyCat is beginning to have thyroid issues. So daily thyroid meds & potassium supplement.

This is going to be a ride.

At 20 y/o, you've slowed down a bit. Naps are longer. Stairs are bigger. Dodging #LemmyCat more irksome. your love is sweeter, purrs are louder & snuggles warmer. Your bourbon drinking-cigarette smoking-cranky grandma rocking on the front porch personality is as sassy as ever.
